Melissa - Goal to drop 30lbs in 6mths
In 2005 I joined Weight Watchers and lost about 30lbs. It was awesome and I thought I could do it alone, however, I was proven wrong. In 2006 I on my way to the altar to marry a man who wanted me to be happy on my own. He didn’t love me for a the overweight person I became he loved me for my heart, funny personality strong soul. The stress of planning the wedding was a great way to loose weight, however, once that wedding was over I had no reason to diet anymore.
My theory to loose weight was always based on events that happen in my life. My wedding drop 30 lbs; my trip to California drop 12lbs. I feel I can only loose weight for certain events. I have to learn to loose the weight to feel good about myself always not because I have a wedding in 5 months or a vacation in 7 months because once I hit that point I tend to get lazy and gain even more back.

I totally agree…..i lost 80 for my wedding 8 years ago, and I lost about 40 a million times for vacation etc. This time I lost weight for me! It was truly my time. I was out of excuse and sick of feeling like a fat blob!
Today, I am down 118.6 lbs and about 10 lbs away from my WW life-time membership.
It has to be a lifestyle change in order to have long-term success!
Thanks Diana for your comment. I just joined a gym one thing that I stayed away from my entire life. I was always afraid of the commitment and now I figure there is no other way for me to drop the blob (as you like to call it). I need to stay on track and help other people to stay on it with me.
I completely feel the same way…I actually started weight watchers in January and have lost 12lbs. The weight loss definitely slowed down because I stopped writing down my points, but hopefully this site will motivate me to get back on track. Great job setting this up!
